Since the price of gas has came down to $2.50 for the time being I wanted to ask a question about the gas mileage of your vehicle.

I think buying cars that get great gas mileage is the least we can do.

Their are some great cars like the Prisus that gets close to 50 miles per gallon on the highway.

The honda Civic is a good choice.

Fort has hyprids that get good not great mileage.

When you go buy a car lets think gas will be $5.00 per gallon.

I go back to my original question what kind of vehicle do you drive and what kind of milage does it get.

I think hummers and similar vehicles should not be sold we have no need for such gas guslers getting 10 miles per gallon. If we unite we can change the way we and our children use our resourses.

Gas Saving – Tips And Tricks

With the augmenting prices of gasoline these days, managing fuel costs has become quite difficult for an ordinary man. However, one cannot keep the costs under control; he may go along with a few gas saving tips and tricks to improve the fuel consumption.

The first gas saving tip is associated with the car engine. Revving engine before turning it off should be avoided as it results in the expenditure of fuel. Moreover, idling the engine for prolonged durations has a negative affect on the fuel consumption. Warming up the engine for 35-40 seconds is advisable for saving gas.

Buying the gas skillfully may also contribute towards the recovery of the fuel cost problem. Gasoline should be purchased during early morning or evening because of being highly dense at the respective times. Furthermore, it should not be filled to the top of tank as it results in spilling over, thus draining a considerable amount of gasoline.

Changing one’s ways of operating a vehicle and altering motoring habits may also lead to effective gas saving. Driving the car at 55 mph results in a better gas mileage while use of 5th gear is recommended. Traveling at a high velocity with low gears should be avoided. Moreover, keeping air conditioner turned off while driving also improves the gas mileage.

Besides these, driving on straight roads and avoiding twists and turns conserves the gas. Brakes should not be pumped too often while the gas pedal should be pressed lightly. Carrying heavy loads in the car’s dickey should be obviated. Regular servicing of the car is necessary and the tires should be frequently checked for air pressure. Frequent examination of the chassis parts and the air filters is also commended. Above all, use of the lowest octane gas and a suitable fuel saver such as Tornado fuel saver plays a significant role in gas conservation. Tornado fuel saver functions as a gas-saving tool and can be used in a car, SUV or a truck.

The above-mentioned gas saving tips and tricks will surely benefit the driving enthusiasts. However, if any sort of assistance is needed, CarSnaps customer support is there to lend you a hand. Alternatively, you can start a thread in the Automotive Forum for seeking any kind of advice concerning gas saving techniques.

Gas-saving Tips In Trying Times

Every day seems to bring higher prices at the gas pump. Here are some gas-saving tips from the experts at the non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

• Monitor tires. Underinflated tires or poorly aligned wheels waste fuel by forcing the engine to work harder.

• Remove excess weight. Remove unnecessary items from the vehicle and the trunk. Less weight means better mileage.

• Consolidate trips and errands. Also, try to travel when traffic is light so you can avoid stop-and-go conditions.

• Keep your engine “tuned up.” Replace filters and fluids as recommended; have engine performance problems (rough idling, poor acceleration, etc.) corrected. Given today’s high-tech engines, it’s wise to have this type of work done by auto technicians who are ASE certified in engine performance.

• Use windows and air-conditioning wisely. Keep windows up at highway speeds to reduce air drag. This is true even with the air-conditioning on. But turn off the A/C in stop-and-go traffic.

• Avoid excessive idling. Shut off the engine while waiting for friends and family.

• Observe speed limits. Speeding decreases your mileage.

• Drive gently. Sudden accelerations guzzle gas. Anticipate traffic patterns ahead and adjust your speed gradually.

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence works to improve automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of auto service professionals. ASE-certified technicians wear blue and white insignia and carry credentials listing their exact area(s) of certification. Their employers often display the blue and white ASE sign.

Hybrid Synergy Drive reveals another virtue: Performance. Public viewing of the 2006 Lexus RX400 in early 2005 reveals combined fuel efficiency in the range of the current EPA average rating for a four- cylinder compact sedan. The RX400h will be a SULEV rated vehicle which means driving from Los Angeles to New York and back nine times (54,000 miles) yet produce less- smog forming emissions.

The 2006 Lexus RX400h combines 3.3 liter V6 gasoline engine with two electric drive motors: a strong 120 kW (161 horsepower) motor positioned near the rear wheels. The new Hybrid System will deliver a peak output of 270 horsepower with a 20% increase compared to the non-hybrid RX330 power train. Much more impressive is the 30-50 mph passing acceleration of the high output electric motor that delivers a high burst of torque.

Future Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drives hold the potential to operate even more efficiently using new types of batteries and fuels. According to Fujio Cho, President of Toyota Motor Corporation ” Toyota’s Hybrid System will make up the heart of our hydrogen fuel cell program of tomorrow”.

The advantage of a hybrid driveline is that it eliminates hardships associated with electric cars to provide breakthrough performance, exemplary fuel efficiency, very low exhaust emissions, and a high level of convenience.

2006 Lexus RX400h introduces a new era of enhanced performance dimension to the widely known hybrid advantages of excellent fuel mileage and low emissions. The RX 400h will be rated as a Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) in California (Tier 2 – Bin 3 in other states), one of the most stringent emissions ratings in the industry.

The Lexus RX 400h is defined as a “full hybrid,” which means that it is capable of operating in electric-only or gas engine-only mode as well as a mode that combines the power of the gas engine and electric motor. In contrast, other hybrid technologies are not capable of running only on electrical power, but instead require constant gas engine operation.

In making the transition to a hybrid power train, the alternator, power steering pump, water pump and AC compressor are no longer engine belt-driven. This is because the gas engine often shuts down—a fuel-saving benefit of the hybrid system—especially when the vehicle is stopped or driven slowly through traffic. Except for the alternator, which is replaced by motor-generators, all components are now electrically powered which means notably lower parasitic losses to the engine and improved fuel consumption.

The Lexus hybrid technology also allows extended electric-mode operation during low speed or stop-and-go driving conditions. The permanent-magnet front electric drive motor (MG2) produces peak torque from zero-to-1,500 RPM, giving the RX 400h powerful and instantaneous response that will be especially felt and appreciated in low- and mid-speed performance and in merging and passing maneuvers.

A regenerative braking system further boosts system efficiency. When the RX 400h is coasting or the brakes are applied, the electric motors function as generators, capturing kinetic energy that would normally be lost as heat through the brakes and transforming it into useable electricity to recharge the batteries.

With the RX 400h, Lexus also introduces a new generation of vehicle stability control systems known as Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM). A vital component of VDIM is a new Electronically Controlled Braking system (ECB). The ECB system translates brake pedal stroke speed and pressure and generates the precise amount of combined electric regeneration and hydraulic pressure needed for virtually any driving condition.

VDIM allows more optimized operation of the vehicle’s dynamic handling systems that employ the brakes: ABS, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and traction control (TRAC). VDIM also interfaces with the Electronic Throttle Control system, allowing it to modify vehicle power when needed, and a new Electronic Power Steering system (EPS) to optimize steering assist for each situation.

When the RX 400h is coasting or the brakes are applied, the electric motors function as generators, capturing kinetic energy that would normally be lost as heat through the brakes and transforming it into useable electricity to recharge the batteries. This regenerative braking system further boosts system efficiency.

To preserve the 2006 Lexus RX400 amazing performance, a one of a kind online store is here to provide you with super durable parts with equally impressive performance.
Improving Your Car’s Fuel Economy!

You are not alone when you are worried about high gas prices and environmental issues. Take advantage of fuel saving tips from the Federal Trade Commission and fuel saver packages from your local auto repair services.

As gas prices skyrocket and environmental issues become major concerns, everyone seems to be looking for new ways to decrease fuel consumption. Cutting down on driving or buying a new hybrid car is simply not an option for everyone, so auto service companies have created fuel saving packages that follow the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines for increasing fuel efficiency. These simple car maintenance procedures will help you save fuel, money, and help the environment while keeping your current vehicle.

• Keep your engine tuned. Tuning your engine according to your owner’s manual can increase gas mileage by an average of 4%. Increases vary depending on a car’s condition.

• Keep your tires properly inflated and aligned. It can increase gas mileage up to 3%.

• Clean Air Filter increases mileage up to 10%

• Change your oil. According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), you can improve your gas mileage by using the manufacturer’s recommended grade of motor oil. Motor oil that says “Energy Conserving” on the performance symbol of the American Petroleum Institute contains friction-reducing additives that can improve fuel economy up to 1-2%.

Consider this: If your car gets 20 miles to the gallon and a gallon of gas costs $4.00, then a 10% fuel efficiency increase can save you as much as $8.00 when you fill your 20 gallon gas tank!

Tire Kingdom, Merchants and NTB along with their hundreds of retail stores have stepped up to the plate and now offer fuel saver packages starting at only $49.99. They are challenging customers to improve their fuel economy with one of the following auto service packages:

From only $49.99 4 Tire Rotation, Air Pressure Check, Replace Air Filter, Check/Refill All Fluids, Check Alignment, and a Basic Oil/Lube Filter

From $129.99 4 Tire Rotation, Air Pressure Check, Replace Air Filter, Check/Refill All Fluids, Check Wheels Alignment, Basic Oil/Lube Filter, Fuel Induction Service, Throttle Body Cleaning

From $219.99, 4 Tire Rotation, Air Pressure Check, Replace Air Filter, Check/Refill All Fluids, Precision Alignment, Fuel Induction Service, Throttle Body Cleaning, Synthetic Oil/Lube Filter, Replace Fuel Filter

Water4Gas Scam – I Fell For It

I was so fascinated by the possibility of running my car on water that I purchased the Water4Gas ebook. I can’t believe I “fell for it.”

The Water4Gas scam is one of the best greatest heists of all time. I am not usually an easy sell, but the sales letter on their website is so convincing. Here I am, reading about all the people that are saving hundreds of dollars a month in gasoline costs. They are talking about all the different cars and trucks they drive, so I know it will work on my vehicle. I see the different parts of the system and how each part plays a key role in the whole water conversion process. It is all spelled out very clearly on their website. They have pictures and everything. All I have to do to start saving money is fork over $97 for the simple step by step manual with diagrams. Also with my purchase, I receive bonus downloads with gas saving tips and more information than I will ever read. It seems completely legit and the creator, Ozzie Freedom, even leaves his phone number on the website for you to call before you purchase if you want too. I’m thinking this operation is definitely top notch. I was in for a surprise.

After I read the Water4Gas scam, I realized this is not a scam at all, surprisingly. I was definitely shocked, but in a good way. The manual gave me everything I needed to know to convert my car to run on water. The Water4Gas ebook provided simple instructions and helpful diagrams to assist me in the conversion process. I am by no means, an automobile expert. I know very little about the mechanical workings of a vehicle. The good news is that the ebook was written for people just like me.

Obviously, Ozzie Freedom welcomed my purchase of the so-called Water4Gas scam because he wants to make money with this business venture, but he is also committed to helping me and my vehicle receive the best gas mileage possible. Now that I’m a paying customer, I can contact his support department to get tips or just ask a question. That does not sound like someone that is trying take my money and give me nothing in return.

The last reason Water4Gas is not a scam is because of the 100% money back guarantee. If for some reason I am not satisfied with my purchase all I have to do ask for a refund, and I will receive all of my money back, no questions asked. I asked myself, “what am I really risking?” The answer was, “not much.” But, I knew the reward could be extra money in my pocket because I was spending less on gas. It seemed like a no-brainer to me.

Read a chapter by chapter summary of Water4Gas if you are contemplating converting your car to run on water.
